She makes my world brighter
And deserves many credits.
But then I wake up
And get back to work
Proof, plag check,
clean up
I could go berserk!
What stops me?
It’s simple: you see, I know
there are clients and writers
With work for me to do.
If it means all-nighters,
I’d do it, happily too.
For the fact of the matter
Is that me and my team,

We are their dream.

The fallout of the US Economy is being felt globally and there is a scramble to go back to the basics of business – focusing on the customer! Delivering quality becomes top priority.
Not surprising then that ‘Quality’ is the focus of the current issue of our newsletter. We present a mini report on the process Chillibreeze follows to deliver quality. We interviewed members of our Project Management team to come up with this report.

How Chillibreeze Delivers Quality
Quality is one of the most prominent reasons why our clients keep coming back. But ensuring quality is a long and meticulous process and we confess, we don’t always get it right.
Our Project Management Team is headed by Suneethi Rao, who works with support from Vidhu Panicker and a team of coordinators and editors to ensure that every piece of content that is delivered from Chillibreeze meets our customer’s requirements as closely as possible. What do they check for?
- Plagiarism: every webmaster’s nightmare! We check to make sure no writer has (on purpose or mistakenly) repeated the same order of words as any other article on the Internet. So what we deliver is completely original content.
- Grammar, Spelling and Punctuation: those basics from English 101. These are the building blocks of language, the very foundation upon which the article, or white paper or case study, or even blog post rests. Our experienced editors look over every word with an eagle eye so that nothing is out of place or missing.
- Language: this is a tricky one because we work for clients from all over the world! We assign projects to writers based on the target audience specified by the customer. So a travel piece about hitchhiking across Wales has the flavour of British English, while the one about restaurants in Los Angeles retains the American flavor. When we tell you that we have written for clients from Singapore, Australia, Ireland, India and the Middle East, among others, you will appreciate just how many varieties of English we need to be aware of!
- The Project Brief: this is our Holy Grail for the project. Or at least, that’s how we like to treat the set of instructions and specifications that clients send us for each project. Whether it’s a specific key word density or a certain kind of formatting – our project managers go over each deliverable to ensure it matches what the client has asked for.
Needless to say, all this is a monumental task. We are the first to admit it: there have been times we have failed. The reasons are varied – from incomplete briefs, to lack of communication, from short deadlines to simple human error – but we are always willing to revise and rework until the deliverable is up to the mark.
After all, as Aristotle so succinctly put it “We are what we do. Excellence is, therefore, not an act but a habit.”

Case Study: a Success & a Failure |

Our last Newsletter got us many responses – thank you all for your feedback. One e-mail, however, stood out from the rest. It was from a customer whose project had been completed some time ago. He was writing to say that he was displeased with the work we did for him. This got us thinking...while we celebrate the successes, we need to pay attention to the failures too.
We decided to do a case study of a success and a failure. The projects we chose for this case study were both content related – the first was a Book Development job that has resulted in one client’s dream of a book becoming reality; the second was a Business Writing project that did not meet the customer's expectations.
