Eagleton does have a fantastic 18-hole international tournament standard golf course. Call ahead for booking a round of golf for the weekends. The driving range is another popular attraction.

What can you do for a Day Trip?

Well, you can try what we just did – a full day of water fun at Wonder La Amusement Park followed by dinner at the Eagleton Golf Course, sitting outside at the Terrace Grill overlooking the golf course. Instead of driving back to Bangalore during peak traffic we decided to have dinner at Eagleton in Bangalore's delightful night climate and then hit the Mysore highway at 9:00 p.m.

If you want to enjoy the variety that Eagleton offers, then I suggest the following itinerary. Ask for the Day Picnic Package. This will include:

• A welcome drink
• Lunch or Dinner
• Evening Tea with cookies and
• Usage of the facilities: swimming, badminton, squash, table tennis...
• Cost: Rs. 886 per person, inclusive of tax (Dec. 2006)

I suggest leaving Bangalore early in the morning and arriving in time for a round at the Eagleton Driving Range. In the early morning, you get to see the golf club in action as the golfers get ready for their round.

Then enjoy a leisurely day at the pool followed by lunch at the Terrace Grill. The swimming pool was nice and clean the day we were there. We also enjoyed a long walk through the Eagleton residential layout.

I forgot what we paid for a bucket of balls, but it was a great deal and the kids loved it.

Eagleton would also be the perfect place for an overnight stay if you wanted to really make a getaway from the city and spend a full day at Wonder La Amusement park then spend the night at the Eagleton Golf Course. The two destinations are a ten-minute drive from each other. The room tariffs range from 4,500 to 6,500 per night.
