Tips for NRI Parents Living in India
Are you an Indian living abroad? Do you often wish you could give your parents a tutorial on how the Internet works? Are your parents (like most other NRI parents) not computer savvy enough? Like for instance, when you ask them to download yahoo messenger and voice chat with you, they ask you what “download” means. OK. Maybe we are exaggerating a little bit here. However, parents of NRIs often are not able to leverage the Internet adequately. They might be able to chat with you but they might be unable to make an online flight booking. They might be able to check email but they might be unable to upload pictures they have taken onto the web and send them to you. Of course, the Internet is not all about email and voice chat. Many other things can be tackled online especially if your parents are aged and unable to move around too much. All they need is a computer with an Internet connection and they are ready to go. Here is a list of activities that NRI parents could do online:
