DON'T KNOW WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT

I don't know what life is about.
I don’t know if there is anyway out
Life is full of beautiful things
Many Summers, Winters and Springs
As long as the sun shines everyday
Enjoy what you do, come what may

I don't know what life is about.
I don't think there is any need to shout
Sometimes we are happy, sometimes, sad.
Some times are good, some times, bad.
Sometimes we cry, sometimes we smile.
Sometimes we run, sometimes wait a while.

I don't know what life is about.
It feels like I am in a bout
Sometimes life is fair to us
Sometimes life is merciless
I don't know what life is about.
Can someone clear my doubt?

FORTUNE TELLER

Every day when I leave my abode
I see this old woman by the road
She asked me if I wanted my fortune told
She told my future holds money and gold

I didn’t give it a thought at first
Till I heard that I had won a contest
I had won or so I was told
Ten grand and one kilogram of gold

I was returning home in the night
When I saw the old woman in the moonlight
She was gazing at the stars
Giving no heed to passing cars
I told her the happenings of today
She was not surprised in anyway
She told that she was going far away
Where she was going she wouldn't say

She told that she would leave some things
As she could not carry all her belongings
To this place where she was going
Where that was I was not knowing

I bid her a happy journey
She looked at me as if in irony
I took my wallet and gave her some money
She laughed as if she found it funny

Next day I woke up hearing something loud
When I went outside, I saw a crowd
I went towards the crowd by the road
I saw the woman lying motionless and cold

Then I understood what she had said
Yesterday before I went to bed
I knew then that she was wise
But how would she have felt predicting her own demise?

Joseph says, “Now I have found my lode star which shines at my goal from afar I hope I reach this goal of mine, I hope on the way I don’t whine. In this world of happiness and sorrow will I reach the star I follow?"
