Creating, Writing and Designing a Business Newsletter
Your business newsletter might turn out to be the perfect forum to increase clients' understanding of your business and even highlight the advantages of your services. So how do you go about writing a business newsletter to connect with your client’s? Step 1 – Name Your Business Newsletter Most companies use a business newsletter as a communication tool, not just to communicate with their clients but with their employees as well. To begin with, any good business newsletter must have a short, concise and attractive name. Newsletter names make lasting impressions, so it helps if you can come up with a good name for your business newsletter. Run a search on the Internet and you’re bound to encounter Ora! Ora! Oracle, Niche Notes, Higher Ground Marketing etc. Similarly you can come up with an innovative, catchy name for your newsletter. Step 2 – Design for Your Newsletter Once you have chosen a name for your newsletter, you need to hire professional help or come up with an interesting design. If you do use bright colors, bold fonts or striking images do not let them overshadow the content or purpose of your newsletter. Try and use your design to make a good impression on your readers so they are led to read every page and every issue of your business newsletter. Step 3 – What Goes Into Your Newsletter? Just as the name and design of your business newsletter draws the attention of the reader, it is the content of the newsletter that sustains their attention. The primary focus of your business newsletter should be to provide timely, worthy and helpful information about the company. You can accomplish this by dividing your newsletter into various sections:
Your business newsletter need not be restricted to providing information on the achievements of your company alone. You can go ahead and include events, employee news and achievements as well. This will keep your employees interested. Allow room for photographs and snapshots of various events. Remember to include a title for every story and an interesting caption for every picture. The employees will surely feel connected and your goals of marketing your business to your clients will be met as well. Employees must be encouraged to submit original articles on a regular basis to the newsletter. The articles can be included with supporting visuals to make it an interesting read. The content of your newsletter should also benefit everyone including clients and your employees. In this manner your business newsletter will serve its true purpose of being a tool for communication. Step 4 – Choose Between Option of Online Newsletters or Printed Newsletters Depending on the size of your business and the client’s you cater to you can choose between an online business newsletter or stick to the traditional means of a printed newsletter. However the choice of an online business newsletter can save you time, money on printing and postage too. Additionally you can use the newsletter as content for your website. Make sure that your business newsletter is informative and fun to read. Give your clients the information they need on the various happenings in your company, upcoming events and news on achievements of your company and employees.
