Why do we need to take Restyl (Alprazolam)?
Restyl is very effective in the treatment of Generalized Anxiety in particular. In our day-to-day stress filled lives anxiety seems to be our constant companion. Restyl also helps patients with panic disorders, depression and so on to lead a comparatively normal and anxiety free life. As we are all aware anxiety can lead to many serious complications especially cardiac problems.
How Does Restyl act?
Their exact mechanism of action is unknown. Clinically, all benzodiazepines cause a dose-related central nervous system depressant activity varying from mild impairment of task performance to hypnosis. Alprazolam binds to the GABAA, subtype of the GABA receptor, increasing inhibitory effects of GABA within the central nervous system. The binding site for benzodiazepines is distinct from the binding site for GABA on the GABA receptor.
