This is an oft heard phrase and unlike so many other preachy ones, I believe this to be true to a large extent. Every city in India has its share of top ten schools and so does Kolkata. Let’s take a quick look at the ten best English medium schools in the ‘City of Joy’. 

1. La Martiniere for Boys

One of the most coveted institutions to get your child admitted, this school with more than 150 years in the business of education has an enviable track record. Affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, it offers Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and (ISC) in the tenth and the twelfth grade respectively. The impressive school buildings are located in the heart of the city, with a big playground and a whole host of activities in the form of Drama Club, Photography Club, and Nature Club to name a few.
