Legal Process Outsourcing (LPOs) is the new kid on the block in the outsourcing world. According to NASSCOM, there is a huge potential in this estimated US$ 250 billion legal services market. Another estimate indicates that the number of outsourced legal jobs would increase to around 35000 by 2010 and to 79000 by 2015. The revenues accrued from these services could go up to US$ 4.7 billion by 2011-12.

Outsourcing of legal work is not new and has been around for a while. However, its potential has only been realized in recent times. This has led law firms to open outsourcing units to take advantage of this opportunity.
