Ten Best Jobs in India

Ten Best Jobs in Indiachillibreeze writer Chitra R

Are you from Shillong, India? If so, check out our job openings on the Chillibreeze Careers Section.

The population of India is the second largest in the world. At any point of time there are at least 60% of people, who are employable (either working or unemployed). Since our population is high we need to harness this potential to get good business from foreign countries and to improve our country’s economy.

Here I would like to talk about some of the best jobs in India, in my opinion.

It may sound somewhat conventional to say that a doctor’s profession is a good one. It gives you contentment of soul and also money. In India, we consider doctors equal to God and depose full faith in them to cure us. There are so many branches of study available in medicine nowadays that one can choose, which one to specialize in.

Working in government organizations like state or central government offices is good as well. The thought of your pension money getting accumulated from the time of joining eases a lot of tension. There are very clear set rules with regard to leave, salary, deductions, medical claims etc. Added to all these facilities there is job security. So people feel safe to work in these organizations.

One can work in an MNC IT company. These are also at par with government offices because of the overall privileges they provide to their employees. One can continue in the same company for several years. Hence there is a job security similar to government jobs.

One can own a grocery. This is self-employment and also provides employment for others. Groceries are everyday needs for a human being and hence it is a must in every locality. Going forward that can even turn into a super market with many more items and deals every month.

Catering food to offices is a booming job with more and more women getting employed in this profession. It may become troublesome for women to complete their cooking before they leave for their jobs. Hence it is profitable to supply food to offices. Similarly they can supply food items or send their chefs to weddings or some functions to cook for the occasion.

Being an air-hostess is very enjoyable. One can visit new places around India or even go around the world. Added to this is the fact that someone is going to pay us to take us around the world.

Being in the army is a good option for both men and women. This is also a government job, but of a different type. One can get to stay in the quarters provided by the army and thus have good home and hearth.

One can run a hotel with boarding and lodging facilities. In our country people keep traveling for all purposes, whether it is for pilgrimage or business tours. Hence running this business is highly profitable.

Similarly on the same lines starting a transport company is also very profitable for the same reasons as above.

Running a private financial firm is also a good option. When more and more people are earning, they tend to think about financial planning and hence they need diligent advisors to guide them.

There are lot more good options available in our vast country, but I have listed just ten, as my topic mentions.
