Lack Originality?

Does Content Creation in India Lack Originality?chillibreeze writerNitin Honaver

For those housewives, students and retired individuals interested in earning an income, content creation seems to be a lucrative option. A single search on the Internet on ‘content creation in India’ will yield thousands of websites promising ‘original’ content creation work done out of India with quick turnaround time. And with the general belief that this work does not require much creativity and that the content already available elsewhere on the Internet can be tweaked, pseudo-writers experiment with content creation to make a quick buck without putting in too much effort! Experts in content creation in India, however, assert that content creation stems from creativity, needs Internet and research skills, and that the writer must have a flair for writing.

Why outsource content creation to India

Many overseas businesses are now outsourcing content creation to India as it is cheaper. English content creation by India-based writers is much better than that by writers from other countries. Contrary to popular belief, content creation here is not just limited to web designing – there are writers who specialize in different forms of content creation like technical, travel, business, medical, legal, reviews, etc.

What is content creation?

Generally, content creation involves extensive research, especially if it involves facts and figures. Misleading or incorrect content could mean trouble for not just the writer but also the website displaying it. Unfortunately, not all content created from India is a result of sincere effort. Some writers prefer the easier way out. Instead of researching or racking their brains for something original, they pluck information from write-ups on similar topics. Those aware of plagiarism laws pertaining to content creation in India and across the globe are careful enough not to use ‘cut and paste’. It would be unfair to conclude that content creation in India is not fresh. Though medical, legal and technical content creation in India involves typical jargon and has limited vocabulary and writing style, it does not imply that the content is a rip-off. There is not much scope for ‘creativity’ in such categories of content creation. Conversely, there are some creative fields like advertising where clients in India and overseas don’t even consider re-processed content.

Content creation in India is gaining popularity and anybody who can surf the net and write a decent article may try their hand at it! But professionals of content creation in India are well aware of the quality that is expected from them, especially now that all websites want to be ‘search engine friendly’. Competition is tough and it is not very easy to clinch assignments for content creation in India unless one can provide original and SEO (search engine optimization) quality write-ups.

Chillibreeze offers such content creation and allied services through a pool of talented, professional writers. Contact Chillibreeze (http://www.chillibreeze.com/clientform.aspx) for more details or check out the list of their content and design services.
