Free File Hosting with Dropbox
Dropbox is an online backup tool that has excellent features that helps you store, access and share your files from virtually anywhere. Once downloaded and installed, Dropbox looks like any other folder on your computer, but there is a significant difference in the way it works! When you save a file (an image, document or spreadsheet) inside the Dropbox folder, the file gets automatically saved in the Dropbox servers, your other PCs, laptops and even in your smart phones. All you need to do is install the Dropbox tool in all your PCs, laptops and mobile phones. Also, at the time of installation, you have to create a Dropbox account by providing your email ID and a password. With the user ID and Password, you can login to the Dropbox website and manage your files easily. Some of the coolest Dropbox features
Dropbox’s Interface Dropbox’s online interface is simple and well organised. The interface is segmented into tabs and inside each tab, you can do specific action. For instance, inside the ‘File’ tab, you can view, edit, and delete all the files in Public and Photos folder. Not just these, Dropbox’s online interface lets you upload, create new folder, share it, and delete folders in just a single click. You can also search for a file or folder quickly using the ‘Search’ box. Dropbox’s desktop interface looks pretty much the same like any other folder in your PC. Once you point your mouse to the Dropbox icon in the system tray, it gives a status update of all the files. The ‘Green Tick mark’ indicates that the files are up-to-date. Just Right click on the Dropbox icon to see a pop-up menu, and set your preferences like storage upgrade, syncing options, launching Dropbox website etc., System Requirements: Dropbox is a very simple application that can run on Windows, MAC, Linux Operating Systems.
