Your hunt for a likeable city that offers peaceful living with proper work culture ends with Pune. This city of Maharashtra was once capital of Chatrapati Shivaji’s Empire and today Pune is heart of Maharashtrian art and culture. This city has witnessed systematic and drastic improvement in real estate as well as different industry scopes and as a result people from different parts of India have poured in. Rising job prospects and expected growth in career, stylish living and hassle free driving conditions of Pune are worth mentioning factors adding feathers to the crown of the city. Pune is well linked with the financial capital Mumbai through the beautiful Western Expressway and frequent rail services. Lohagaon Airport near Viman Nagar is actually an army administered airdrome where domestic and international carries are allowed to operate.

When you are initiating your move to stay in Pune, you need to customize yourself a bit. There are plenty of buses and public transport facilities but it is not always a cakewalk to use them as a newcomer. Proper knowledge of the bus schedules along with a road map is handy to avail public transport. The Punekars prefer to go with two wheelers or cars. People relocating from the metro cities like Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore or Mumbai should be aware of the fact that there are no metered cabs available, instead three wheelers, popularly called “Auto Rickshaws” in Pune can be used for commuting. There can be a new traveling experience in Pune; the city has six-seater services in restricted localities. As the name indicates, six people may sit in these vehicles and fare can be availed on a shared basis.

Accommodation is not a problem but finding a suitable apartment for stay needs effective search. If you are coming down to Pune with a job, it is best for you to check out the office notice board and information from the intranet. Living nearer to the workplace is an advantage.

Information technology and Information technology enabled jobs are ample in Pune. Rajiv Gandhi IT PARK (Hinjewadi SEZ), Talwade IT Park, Magarpatta IT Park, Kharadi IT Park are picturesque IT parks. As regular traveling is difficult, majority of the IT and financial companies offer pick and drop facilities. Special deduction is made from the salaries for issuance of bus pass at subsidized rates. Leading outsourcing giants operate from Pune and few of them have headquarters as well. Besides IT, there are governmental offices with huge infrastructure. Besides national and international financial players, local banks have equal presence in this city. Pune has largest number of Automobile manufacturing units in India. It is also frontrunner in mechanical engineering. The famous Film and Television Institute of India is also located at Aundh, the central part of this cultural city.

The climate of Pune is pleasant and humidity is much lesser than the coastal cities of India. It is neither too cold nor too hot throughout the year. Nights are colder but pleasant. It is advisable to carry woolen garments if you visit Pune between November and February. The summer is hot, but not too hot and humid. It is prudent to carry sunscreen lotions. As the climate is dry lotions and skin creams can be useful.

The city has plenty of shopping malls and branded retail stores, most of the reputed brands are available there. All modern amenities like shopping malls and multiplexes have been established. Weekends are fun time for the Punekars. Politeness, adherence to culture, sense of brotherhood and sober body language are few characteristics of the local people. The city offer modern and stylish lifestyle. There are plenty of restaurants dishing out mouthwatering Indian, Chinese, Mughlai and Marathi cuisines at affordable rates. For the business class and elite people several sophisticated hotels with star ambience remains.

Many people who relocate from other parts of the nation prefer adjacent municipalities like Pimpri-Chinchwad and Sholapur. Pimpri Chinchwad is the highest revenue earning municipality of Asia. In these areas a single bed room flat rent ranges between 4000 INR to 7000INR. The double bed accommodation may be even 14000 INR per month. If you can cope up with traveling expenses and accommodation charges, Pune is a nice city to relocate.
