The spotless beauty of Switzerland, the royalty of London, the indulgence of Las Vegas and the shopping bonanza of Singapore make them some of the most popular tourist spots; however, a true traveler craves to look beyond the usual. A true escape that would kindle a traveler’s spirit doesn’t need to be a popular destination.

Our planet is rich with treasures of hills, beaches, islands, deserts, forests and much more that there is simply no end to it! Spin the globe and you will find that the beauty of each continent is uniquely different from the other. The mountains of America have a different tone to them than the mountains of New Zealand. Get lost in the lush forests of Africa, embrace the quiet breezes at beaches of England or go for a road trip in Asia. The idea is to do the unexpected!

The places that are not typically seen on anyone’s wish list have loads of surprises to unfold with their modest aura and preserved charm. Belarus, located in Eastern Europe, with its flat lowlands and forests is one such city. You can bet on this one, if you are looking forward to explore something out of the ordinary. The place’s rich history begs to be explored; besides, it can make an interesting trip for people seeking an off-beat vacation.

Suriname is another potential expedition spread along the north coast of South America. It’s full of ethnic and natural wonders. The explorer in you would never get tired as the country has diverse cultures that grow on you as you spend time here.

West Africa’s Cote d’lvoire brims with coastal beaches and forests, charming you to the core. The country, which is also known as the Ivory Coast, has intriguing anecdotes related to its independence and culture. The place is unassuming; it doesn’t bring to you the obvious, but quietly reflects its soul when you have an avid traveler’s eye.

The Solomon Islands in the Northeast of Australia can turn any popular island green with envy with its volcanic and forested riches. The far-reaching waters along with the verdant surroundings never seem to rest. Add to it, the place has an amazing colonial essence, which has been earned through the ages.

Estonia sits pretty on the Baltic Sea with plenty of serene lakes and forests. The place has its share of historical charms that brushes off as you saunter around.

Posing for pictures with backgrounds like the Buckingham Palace or Brooklyn Bridge is sure to make you smirk.

True, the hotspots can never lose their sheen. Nevertheless, it’s the lesser known destinations that define a true-blue traveler’s heart. So, get inquisitive!
