God's Debris: Scott Adam's
New Stealer

God's Debris: Scott Adam's New Stealerchillibreeze writerSoumya

Someone has rightly said that the simplest things are always the most difficult ones to define. God’s Debris supplies the reader with ample examples to prove that. A Dilbert fan would never have imagined that Scott Adams could come up with something like this.

This is a book which probably defies any of the currently known categories of literature – although fantasy does seem to be the closest. But the more I think about it, the more I feel like giving a new name to this class of writing.

This book is for people who are thinkers and take things around them seriously enough to delve into their meaning. This book is for people who question the things that they see or feel, people who are not scared of attempting to reduce any theory or phenomenon to very specifically worded essentials.

God’s Debris, as the title suggests does have something to do with God, but certainly not in a conventional sense. Scott Adams smoothly jumps from Einstein’s theories to religion and a lot of other things that are hard to delineate.

The central character of the story who is supposed to know everything, yes, everything, is a splendid creation of the author. Just when the reader begins to suspect a contradiction, he sidesteps it with his arguments. It feels almost as if he is talking to you out of the book.

The disclaimers that the author has put in the Introduction section are as interesting as the actual story. Saying anything more would mean killing the punch in the story, but a book that can logically explain everything in the world on the same plane would have to be a brilliant one.

If you are looking for Dilbert-type humor, you would probably want your money back, but this book is sure to entertain and serve as a workout for your mind. If you are willing to unlearn some of your beliefs and give a chance to a whole new explanation of your existence, then this is the book for you.
