Assistant Web Developer

ROLE

The Assistant Web Developer works as part of a team who are responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s web sites. Responsibilities include building, maintaining and technical administration of six web sites. This includes typesetting web pages, creating navigation, optimizing sites for fast loading, ensuring browser compatibility, designing for mobile screens, integrating Word Press plug ins, creating HTML5 newsletters and more. This position requires experience with CSS, HTML, Dreamweaver, Word Press, Rackspace hosting and Magneto shopping cart. This job is available in Shillong India.

RESPONSIBILITES

Managing the publishing of new content.
Deciding design and navigation elements to help website visitors.
Develop visual web pages that show the value of company products and services.
Use Word Press to create sophisticated interactive websites.
Make regular website tweaks, bug fixes and improvements as instructed by others.
Design and create HTML5 newsletters and web pages.
Troubleshoot web site problems and implement solutions.
Research, evaluate, recommend and implement emerging technologies to enhance the web user’s experience.
Stay abreast of the latest web tools, methods and trends.

REQUIREMENTS

Discipline, well developed work habits and family support.
Should have family support in or near Shillong India.
Several years’ experience with HTML, CSS and other web technologies.
Must have good understanding of functions and features of websites, hosting, internet marketing.
Aptitude to suggest and implement strategic ideas and inspire commitment.
Experience with setting up Word Press and integrating plugins.
Ability to implement emerging easy to use web technologies.
Experience with Dreamweaver is a plus.
Good working knowledge of meta tags and search engines.
Experience with SharePoint, Magento and Vbulletin preferred.
Experienced managing people and projects and reporting to executives.

Have skills to influence others to achieve project goals.
