eCommerce Expert

ROLE
Are you interested in helping Chillibreeze increase sales online? Do you have the talent to use websites to acquire customers and sell products through creative use of content, technology and e-commerce? If this fits you then you might fit this job with Chillibreeze.

As the company ecommerce expert you will focus on the goal of driving revenue through strategic actions to product websites, both 3rd party websites such as Amazon and Chillibreeze websites with ecommerce stores. You will oversee website operations to create trust, simplify shopping, adjust product pricing, offer coupons, create promotions, generate reviews, get customer quotes, write unique product descriptions as well as analyze and report on the performance all online sales. You will be the “go-between” of the production team and the upload inventory process. The successful candidate will discover ways to increase sales by increasing credibility and making it easier for site visitors to search, find and purchase products online.

Ideally the person selected will work in the Shillong office however Chillibreeze is open to applications within India as this work could be done virtually.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Improve consumers experience by making finding, selecting and buying easier.
  • Generating customer feedback, reviews and new product suggestions.
  • Ensure inventory Quality Control Process – be the “go between” of product development and inventory publishing to multiple ecommerce websites and stores.
  • Increase sales by adjusting pricing by creating bundles, promotions, coupons, contests and more.
  • Improve the number of return visitors, repeat and referral customers.
  • Resonate with customers’ needs so that every aspect of our products and buying experience are focused on making it easier for them to solve their problems.
  • Create innovative surprising customer experiences like interesting demos, smart follow up mails, and live pop up support.
  • Fine tune the appeal and credibility of products, photos, website design and copy to improve the overall perception of products and services.
  • Monitor and implement best ecommerce practices as well as track and stay ahead of competitor innovations.
  • Act as spokesperson for e-commerce internally to educate the organization and mobilize their involvement.
  • Drive continual ongoing improvement to e-commerce operations, processes and results.
  • Collaborate with product, operations and sales managers to proactively gather and understand customer needs to fine tune product design.
  • Gain deep understanding of company products and create optimization strategy that defines what products to improve, emphasize or develop.
  • Analyze existing products features to identify the greatest value to customers so as to improve product descriptions and increase sales.
  • Conduct user tests then implement improvements to user interface design.
  • Gather questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding product or user interface design improvements.
  • Identify and track metrics to make improvements in website based on usage, keyword, and traffic patterns.
  • Utilize Google webmaster tools to test website performance and implement improvements to maintain high scores.
  • Weekly analysis of sales and web analytics data - web traffic, web path analysis, abandonment rate, keywords searched, conversion ratio.

  • Ability to implement emerging easy to implement web technologies.
  • Good intuition for strategic direction.
  • Should know limitations of technologies to select best rapid solutions.
  • Must be familiar with the dynamics of Google algorithms, community building, social media, user generated content, branding and more.
