Chillibreeze epublishing presents- Get that Grant! A comprehensive guide for biomedical researchers
|
“Grant writing is one of the most challenging tasks in biomedical science, especially for beginners”, says Dr. Nishi. “Our comprehensive guide to biomedical Grant Writing is just like a ‘Grant writing 101’ course with some elements of Grant writing 201 and 301 too.”
Our ebook not only tells scientists how they should go about creating their grant application, it also tells them how they should not!
This book might be helpful to newcomers as well as grant writers. The informal style makes it an easy read. You will never want to put it down (….rather close it).
The chapters include:
This book is part of a forthcoming ebook series from Chillibreeze.com.
“Writing a clear outline is getting half your GA ready and done. With an outline in hand, you have a well-defined road map to follow.”
“The design and methodology section of your study is the place where a small slip will look like a gigantic error. And this can translate into a significant loss of time, energy and expensive research funds.”
“Your hypothesis is your spot under the sun: your very own place to shine. Where the bizarre, the strange, the paradoxical, all have a good chance of getting funding.”
“Think of your aims as wet cement. Once you've written them out, that can set the tone for the rest of your GA. Strong and unshakable like concrete, hard to remold.”
“It doesn't matter how complex your hypothesis and your research is, you can always make it simple and easy to read. Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.”
Dr. Lakshmi says, " We will know that we have succeeded in our attempt to simplify grant writing when clinician scientists and bio-medical researchers write in to tell us how useful this book has been to them".
Lakshmi's career as a medical writer began in 1996. She has independently handled international medical writing projects in cardiology, dermatology, diabetology, gastroenterology, respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, pediatrics, orthopedics, anesthesiology, neurology, neuropsychiatry, psychiatry, oncology, dentistry and veterinary medicine.
