Do you have a project for us? Wondering how we work, how payments can be made and a million other things before you take the plunge and fill our form? Here is an exhaustive FAQ (at least, we like to think it’s exhaustive – if you think we missed anything, do let us know!):
I have a project and I think Chillibreeze can do it, what do I do next?
Simple! Just fill in our enquiry form and try to give us as many details as possible about your project. Our sales team will contact you in the next 24 hours.
I filled your enquiry form. What now?
One of our Sales Coordinators will be in touch within 24 hours. Since we work from India and the US, different time zones may cause a short delay in getting back to you. But rest assured, we will definitely contact you to take your project forward.
I have a project in mind, but am not sure if Chillibreeze provides such services or can handle my project. What shall I do?
No problem.
After you fill in our enquiry form, we will be happy to give you details about our rates, your options and anything else you may want to clarify. You can receive this information and get back to us when you have made up your mind.
We currently provide a variety of content and design services. If you are not sure whether your project fits in, feel free to contact us to check if it does.
I may have a project in the future, but am currently merely gathering information. Will Chillibreeze give me a quote for such a “future project”?
Sure. Please indicate that you may have a project for us in the future and we will still send you a quote for it. If you can also tell us the approximate timeframe, we may even be able to guarantee the rate. Of course, if the details of your project have still not been finalized yet, our quote will be a ballpark figure. But we will do everything possible to make things easier and more practical for you.
I do not work for a company, but I have a project that I think Chillibreeze may be able to handle for me. Will you take on my job?
Certainly. We do not restrict our services to companies only. Individuals and small businesses are always welcome.
Can you send me your rate sheet?
We provide a variety of services to a variety of clients – all with different, unique needs. So we prefer to customize rates based on your specific requirements. Once you fill our contact form, one of our Sales Coordinators will be happy to discuss your project with you before drafting a quote.
What information do you require in order to give me a price quote?
As much as you can provide! Initially, we will need to know what kind of service you are interested in and the nature of your project. If it is a content project, the approximate number of words you require and the approximate size of your order (volume/no. of articles) and maybe even a link to something you like online would be helpful.
On what basis do you decide your rates?
Most of the time, our rates are based on a per-word basis. We also consider factors like: the nature of the work, the expertise/knowledge of the writer, volume of work, and amount of research required etc. Our Sales Coordinator, who contacts you, will be able to provide further details.
What do I need to do to get a discount?
We usually come up with the most practical and economical quote for our clients. That is why we customize them to your specific needs. However, there are certain circumstances where we will consider giving further discounts – such as: volume of work (the more, the better); frequency (monthly projects may get discounts, especially if you are willing to sign up for a three-month project or more); referrals (clients who have referred another client will get discounts on their next project with us); etc. The Sales Coordinator will work with you to try to get you the best deal.
We are currently offering a unique “Hire a writer” plan that might help you lower your costs while enjoying the luxury of a dedicated writer working on your project.
I found another content outsourcing company that charges far lesser than you do. There seem to be plenty of freelancers who will also do the job for a fraction of the cost. Why should I come to Chillibreeze?
Yes, many other writers who will work for less. Just as all writers are not created equal, all companies have their own aims. Chillibreeze’s goal is to provide quality content at affordable prices. The keyword is quality and we do everything in our power to ensure we meet this goal.

Will I own the copyright to all the material developed for me?
Yes. You will own the copyrights for all the material written for your project. We will also maintain strict confidentiality and never share any of the content with any other clients.
How can I be sure that your writers will maintain confidentiality of all content developed for me?
Our writers sign confidentiality agreements with us. Besides, as a policy, all material developed for you is deleted 3 months after delivery has been accepted by you and you have confirmed your approval of the deliverables.
Will you use articles written for me as samples to send future clients?
No. We will not share anything that you have paid for with anyone else without your express permission.
Will you sign an NDA before I commission a pilot/trial project?
While we are not averse to signing NDAs, we prefer to do so when you commission a major project. We generally do not sign NDAs for pilots, but we do guarantee full confidentiality and the same treatment as if we were under NDA with you.
How will you guarantee plagiarism free material?
We stand by our work and do everything in our power to ensure there is no plagiarism in the material we develop for all our clients. Every article we send you goes through a standard process of QC and plagiarism checking.
Under rare circumstances, plagiarism tests could fail and let something slip through. So, if you find plagiarism in the material developed for you, we will rewrite/rework it for you at no cost to you. Our coordinator who has worked with you will be able to give you further details about this.
Will you sign my company’s NDA?
Chillibreeze has a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement that we are willing to adapt to your specifications/requirements. However, if you prefer to have your company’s NDA signed, we will be happy to have our legal department look it over. We may want to make a few changes and will let you know if we are able to sign it or not. Our aim is to help you feel at ease and we will do everything possible to do this.
I do not work for a company but I want to be assured of confidentiality. Will Chillibreeze sign an NDA with me?
Sure. We have our own standard format NDA and will be happy to sign it with you to assure you of confidentiality.
I want to refer a friend to use Chillibreeze’s services. Who shall I ask him/her to contact?
Firstly, thank you. We appreciate your referral and promise to live up to your recommendation. Tell your friend to visit our website and fill our enquiry form. Ask them to mention your name and we will give you a referral discount the next time you have a job for us!
Can you provide me with a list of references?
Yes, definitely. We have a number of clients willing to share their experience of working with Chillibreeze. Once you fill our enquiry form and provide some basic information about your requirements, ask the Sales Coordinator who contacts you for a list of references.
Why do I need to give you information about my requirements before getting references?
If we know what your project is, we can provide references of clients for whom we did similar projects. This will help you get specific information.
I was referred to Chillibreeze by a friend. Does my friend get anything?
Do share your friend’s name with us and your friend will receive a discount on the next project they give us. We promise to live up to your friend’s word.
Will I have to edit all the articles myself?
Not unless you want to. Our rates include editing, proofreading, spelling and grammar checks besides plagiarism checks.
But if you wish to get raw unedited first drafts and do the editing yourself, we will provide you with a quote taking that factor into consideration.
Do you check material for plagiarism before sending it to me?
Yes. Everything we deliver to you passes through our strict plagiarism checker.
What happens if I find plagiarism in the material you developed for me?
This is not something that happens often, but plagiarism checks have their own little gaps and once in a while, something slips through. Let us know at once and we will re-writer/rework the material for you at no extra cost. Our coordinator who has worked with you will be able to give you further details about this.
Can your editors edit according to the Chicago or AP Manual of Style?
Yes, we have editors who are able to edit according to specific editing styles – Chicago and AP Manuals of Style for sure. Besides, if your company or magazine or publication has its own editorial style guide, you can definitely forward it to us and our editors will work according to these guidelines.
How do I make a payment to Chillibreeze? What modes of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by Credit Card or Wire Transfer. Credit card payments are accepted through CC Avenues, a secure online payment gateway. If you wish to pay by wire transfer, we will provide you with an invoice with all the bank details you will need.
Why does your invoice say “Stylus Inc.” instead of Chillibreeze?
Stylus is our parent company. All payments are accepted through invoices titled Stylus Inc. for accounting purposes.
Will there be any transfer costs or fees?
If you choose to pay by credit card, there is a 6% credit card transaction fee above and beyond the project total that you will have to bear. Wire transfer payments do not have any attached fees.
I am having trouble paying by credit card using the invoice you sent me. What do I do?
Please contact the Sales Coordinator who has been in touch with you. We will send you a fresh invoice or sort out the issues to ensure your payment comes through all right. We are sorry for the delay and the trouble.
Can I pay through PayPal?
As of now, we do not have the ability to accept PayPal payments. However, we are aware of how convenient this mode of payment is and are working towards extending this facility to our clients.
Do all your clients pay in advance? What guarantee do I have that my work will be completed?
While this is a valid fear and we are aware of your reluctance in this matter, as company policy, we work only against a full advance payment. Our invoice functions as a contract of agreement between you and our company.
We have a large number of satisfied customers who are willing to vouch for our quality and authenticity. We will be glad to provide you with a list of references for this purpose.
I want to see some samples of your work before I commission a project or make a payment.
All the projects we do for clients are under strict confidentiality and we do not disclose any details without client’s express permission. But our writers are constantly writing many articles as samples. You will find them on our website at: http://www.chillibreeze.com/ArticleIndex-top.asp.
Our Sales Coordinators may be able to provide you with specific links to the type of articles you want to commission.
I have seen the samples on your website and I liked the way a certain writer writes. Can I ask for a specific writer to work on my project?
Thanks for the compliment; we will surely pass it on to the writer. You can discuss your wish with your Sales Coordinator and we will do our best to get the same writer for you. However, since our network comprises mostly of freelancers, writers could be busy or unavailable. If that is the case, we will spare no effort to find the most suitable writer for your project.
Before I commit to a long-term project, I want to try out your services. Is there an option for me to do this?
Yes, definitely. We will be happy to work on a pilot project with you. We welcome the opportunity to do trial/pilot projects because they give us an opportunity to understand your requirements much better. We then like to let our work convince you to commission us for the long-term project.
Will you sign an NDA before I commission a pilot/trial project?

I plan to commission Chillibreeze for a big, long-term project. Can I get a discounted rate for the pilot?
If you have a large-volume, long-term project for us, we will definitely extend a discount to you when you place such an order.
Will I be interacting directly with the writer who works on my project?
Our experienced Project Implementation Coordinators act as the go-between and pass information, guidance and directions back and forth between you and the writers. They will supervise the work, keep you updated on the progress of the project and generally ensure that everything is on track. This means you just finalize the rates, make the payment and sit back as the completed work turns up in your inbox! No supervision, no worrying, no hassles.
Sometimes (especially for fiction editing or writing) you might be in touch with the writer. This is done to ensure your project is done just as you want it. Another situation where you may be in touch with the writer is if you opt for our pay-per-month plan and choose to do the supervision and handling part (for a lower rate). Your Sales Coordinator will tell you all about these and other options.
Who are Chillibreeze’s writers?
Chillibreeze has a careful, multi-step selection process for finding the best, most talented and experienced freelance writers for you. Our writers are Indians but they do not necessarily live in India. They live and work from different countries all over the world.
How do you select writers for a project?
Once we know your requirements and receive your payment, we "send offers to select writers" writers who match your requirements. Usually, these writers are those who are rated the highest in our ranking system. They are tried and tested writers who have consistently performed well for previous projects.
Of course, if you have very specific needs, we might not have a big pool of writers to choose from, but our aim is always to find the best for you.
Are all your medical writers doctors?
Not necessarily. We do have a very large number of doctors in our medical writing division and they come from a variety of fields of specialization. However, we also have medical students, nurses, pharmacists, medicomarketing professionals, PhDs and other medical professionals or students in our network.

Is there any chance of conflict of interest if the work I have for you is done by a writer who works for my competitor?
We will do everything in our power to ensure the security and confidentiality of your material. If you feel that there is even a remote chance of a conflict of interest issue arising, please let your Sales Coordinator know about this. It will help us immensely to be aware of such a situation and we will then make sure that the selected writer/s are indeed suitable in all senses of the word.

We are a virtual company in the true sense of the word – our offices in Bangalore house our Accounts and Admin departments only. The rest of our team of coordinators work from homes all over India and the US. So it may not be possible to meet in person, but we can definitely discuss your requirements over Instant Messaging services like Yahoo, Skype, MSN or Google talk.
Can we discuss the details of my project over the phone instead of email?
Over time, we have discovered that email is the most efficient way of documenting your requirements. While telcons might be easier and quicker, it is very easy to miss vital details and requirements over the phone. However, if a telephonic conversation is vital to your project, please let us know; our sales coordinators will be happy to call and speak to you.
