Today's tip is about Removing Background from Images.
We are always taking pictures with our mobile phones or camera to capture epic moments in our lives, hoping to use these images for your PowerPoint presentation.
Excited! to display the image in the PowerPoint presentation, only to see that the image background does not look as appealing with the designs. The image is an integral part of your presentation so, you choose to remove the background of the image to get a transparent image.
So, how to remove the background?
First of all, you don't need to worry; you do not need additional software to do this. PowerPoint has a tool where you can do this easily. You can learn this from the video below.
One of the advantages of this is that it will increase the range of how you can use pictures in your PowerPoint presentations.
Step 1: Select the picture
Step 2: Go to Picture Format Tab
Step 3: Click on Remove Background
Step 4: Select Mark Areas to Keep
(NOTE: The purple highlighted areas will be removed from the image)
Step 5: In case you want to remove a certain part from the image you have to select Mark Areas to Remove option.
Step 6: Lastly, Click on Keep Changes option to save changes.
Things to know: The Remove background tool is best for removing complicated backgrounds from images. Also, this feature gives you the flexibility to customize what parts of the background you remove or keep. However, this tool DO NOT work on vector graphic files.
